When I began the path of a Nature Photographer, I first saw only the landscape. Soon the elements of light, tone, texture, composition and design started to color my perceptions. Decisions must always be made to support how an artist chooses to emphasize the elements of a scene or concept. Discovering how to capture the essence of the experience of being within or part of the scene ignites within me deep passion. I believe there is an inner landscape within each scene, kind of like a picture within a picture that is more than simply a close-up that allows you to see tiny details. I love being near water. Reflections whether within a puddle, over the ocean, across a still pond or a rushing river have a similar effect on me as a chocolate truffle might to a chocoholic. They are always on my radar. If I could be known for anything, I would like it to be for my reflections. I shoot digitally with a Nikon SLR camera, grateful for the immediate gratification and the giddy feeling of opening a present each and every time. I am pleased to share what I see and hope that you enjoy my images.
