Gold Country

This picture taken with a 3.1 point and shoot is the picture that got others thinking I should get serious about photograpy. Hand sized gold nuggets were dredged out of the North Fork of the Salmon River in the very norther part of California during the mid to late 1800's. Today you still need to file a claim to work this river. The very few rest of us enjoy the cool deep pools and remoteness.

Is this the swimming hole at the Dilon Creek Campground? Nice shot... Please let me know if you have an email address so that I can send a photo I took that I think you will enjoy. It might be the same spot! Nice work.
